We would love to take the time to keep introducing you to our Camp Clayton Family. Today we caught up with Maree and asked her a few questions to help you get to know her better. 😊👋

Hey Maree, what is your role here at Camp and how long have you worked here?

I am a cook at Camp and I’ve worked in the kitchen for 14 years.

What do you love about Camp?

I love camp for everything it stands for; to bring people to Christ, to show everybody love and kindness, to smile to show kindness and the best part is the family at camp- that we get to do life together.

What keeps you busy on the weekends?

On weekends I love to go camping, walking and exploring but also relaxing. My absolutely favourite thing though is when all my family are together under one roof, Darren and I love being together with all the kids and grandkids.

Okay we know this one would be a hard one, but if you had to eat one meal every day what would it be?

Ooo, it would have to be seafood and hot chips.

What is something on your bucket list?

We would love to travel to Canada and see the Rockies.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

Wow a historical event, I would love to witness when the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. Just wow to know that he has risen and to see that!

And finally, if you had to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?

If I had to write a self-help book, some of the chapters in it would be; Get up, put your smile on your face. Face the world with your armour on. Take everything one step at a time.

Wow, it has been an awesome time chatting with Maree. Who better then to tell us what Maree is really like then to ask someone on her team; we caught up with Samuel who has worked with Maree for the past three years to see what he thought about her.

“Maree is the most bubbly person I have ever met! She always has a smile on her face and I would say she is the loudest one out of all of us. She is the mother hen and looks after us all very well, making sure we are eating our salad with our lunches and checking in on us regularly. It is always fun and laughs working with Maree- she is part of the furniture here at Camp.” -Sam Dyer

Well, we hope you have enjoyed getting to know Maree. Make sure you say hello to her next time you are at camp and ask her if she has started writing her book yet 😉
