We are excited to introduce you to one of our super energetic young people – Caleb! Caleb is on our ministry team and is much loved by so many of our leaders. We hope you enjoy reading this interview and that it helps you get to know Caleb better. 😊👋

Hey Caleb, how long have you worked at Camp for as the male ministry coordinator?

I started August last year, so a year and four months but I have been part of Camp as a camper since I was in grade 3 and cabin leader since I was in grade 8.

Wow, you have been involved in Camp for a while! What do you love about working here?

I love the opportunity it gives to be able plant seeds of Gods love in anything I do, whether it would be doing activities, serving meals, having conversations with leaders or dealing with a difficult camper who normally might be abused when they do something wrong, instead having a conversation about why it’s wrong what they are doing and showing them love and grace.

What do you get up to when you are not at work?

I really enjoy catching up with people for lunch or coffee, skiing with my brother and sister-in-law is always a good blast, mountain biking, and I recently have gotten into spearfishing.

If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?

I think watching when God says let there be light and light appears and then going through all the other days of creation would indescribable.

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

Hands down steak, tacos AND pizza- all in the one meal.

I think that is cheating!
But if you had to write a self-help book, what would the topic be?

I have said this to quite a few people but I believe that your testimony is someone else’s hope. I would talk on my struggles that I went through with losing my dad and how I dealt with grief and the stuff comes from that.

Wow, that sounds really helpful to others.
Okay finally, tell us something on your bucket list?

There are so many things, I love traveling around the world and I would have to say that the next place I would be most excited about to go, would be Europe.

Yes! Europe is so nice!

Other then Samuel, Caleb’s brother, Sarah has known Caleb for the next longest at Camp, we thought we would ask for a sneaky comment from her.

I have know Caleb ever since we attended our first camp in grade 3, now it is my absolute pleasure to work alongside him. Sometimes God just perfectly places people in your life, not only that He has perfectly placed Caleb in the life of Camp. There are many stories I could tell but, I’ll save them for another day…. Seriously Caleb is such a genuine, steadfast, quick-witted man of God and he has the biggest heart for God, people and Ministry Camps.

We hope you have enjoyed this interview with Caleb. I am sure you will see him at your next Camp.
